Synergism of enzymes in chemical pulp bleaching from an industrial point of view: A critical review

چکیده

Enzymes are biological catalysts and very specific, catalyzing either a single chemical reaction or limited number of closely related reactions. For example, xylanases enzymes that catalyze the cleavage polymeric xylan thereby break down this hemicellulose. The first xylanase enzyme preparations used in bleaching process pulp also contained cellulase, which catalyzes hydrolysis cellulose. This obviously had an adverse effect on yield quality. Unfortunately, setback gave enzyme-assisted negative reputation. At later stage, producers managed to engineer production strains generated cellulase-free preparations. However, due initial experiences with earlier mixtures, only companies industry have seriously considered using these so-called second-generation their bleach plants. It is apparent improved would bring about significant benefits terms cost savings effluent In addition xylanase-aided bleaching, it possible improve effectivity further by adding other enzymes, such as lipase esterase, create cocktail. may be particularly beneficial hardwood pulp, white birch, often encounters complex troublesome problems wood extractives. By different types at more than one position fiberline, even improvements possible. main objective review discuss advantages incorporating modern pulp.

Use of Enzymes in Deinked Pulp Bleaching

To comply with government’s environmental policies and to satisfy the requests of the consumers, recycling of waste paper is essential for reducing the consumption of virgin fibers in pulp and paper industry. However, the poor optical properties of recycled fibers restrict their use in value-added papers. Enzymes, such as lipase and laccase, represent an interesting alternative. The detachment ...

Enzymes Improve Ecf Bleaching of Pulp

The delignification efficiency of different laccase enzymes was examined on the eucalyptus Kraft pulp. The laccase enzyme from Trametes versicolor showing the highest delignification efficiency was selected and used in the elemental chlorine-free bleaching sequence for improving the pulp bleachability. An appreciable reduction in chlorine dioxide consumption was also obtained. Further reduction...
